At 16 years of age Jay Bishop said to his friends that he would be a famous guitarist. His friends scoffed and laughed because Jay had never even played guitar before, so fame seemed unlikely. Jay did not let the inconvenience of not knowing how to play a guitar deter him from his new found goal. He picked up the guitar and taught himself to play.  Within a couple of months it was clear to everyone that he was a guitar prodigy as the music began to pour out of him...

When Jay was 18 he taught himself recording using an old home computer and karaoke machine at work.  Since those early days, Jay has recorded over 100 songs.  He has self-released 7 Albums of varying styles and moods and has been selling and distributing his albums in the underground San Diego scene for the last 10 years.

Although originally a Heavy Metal Guitarist, Jay has written music in the genres of Jazz, Classical, TV Show Themes, Western, Pop, Rock, Nerdcore, and Metalcore. Jay continues to expand his talent to encompass all different kinds of music.  He has played for several bands like Phamin, Bishop, Edges of Infinity, and DethRattle. Jay has recently been performing his solo work from his official debut album "The Edge of Jazz" all over Southern California.

Now Jay has joined The Bossfights as their Guitarist/Bassists.
